Hall of Fame Award
The AATCP Hall of Fame was established in 2016 to recognize those members whose contributions to the profession and service to the Association have been significant, substantial and long-standing. Members of the Hall of Fame have demonstrated a history of career achievement, sustained commitment to the advancement of the profession, and significant contributions to AATCP while simultaneously demonstrating professionalism and integrity.
Nominees for the AATCP Hall of Fame award have, through their leadership, innovation and/or outstanding achievements, defined, promoted, and advanced AATCP to the highest sustainable levels. By honoring such individuals, AATCP provides a generational continuity with the past, present and future of this dynamic organization.
The AATCP Hall of Fame criteria serves to ensure that those we honor have attained greatness while exemplifying the best in people and inspiring those around them.
Nominees for this prestigious honor must meet the following criteria to be considered:
- Held positions within AATCP through Board appointment, elected Board office, committee chairmanship, and/or special committees and councils.
- Serving as a leader in treatment courts and/or associated fields.
- Working in a professional capacity with outside organizations on behalf of AATCP.
- Serving as a superior role model and mentoring colleagues.
- Demonstrate observation of, and adherence to, the AATCP by-laws and guidelines.
- Served a minimum of three years in a treatment court in some capacity
The Hall of Fame Award is given under special circumstances and not on an annual basis. Any member of the AATCP may nominate an individual for this recognition. The Awards, Elections and Recognition Committee will vet the nominee based on the criteria. Current Board members are eligible to be nominated but will be excluded from the vetting and voting process. The AER Committee will then present eligible nominees to the Board for an ultimate vote as to who will be inducted. Award nominations will open in January and close in February, where the AATCP Hall of Fame Award will be presented at the annual meeting.
